City of Three Rivers Waste Water Plant Odors

Maintenance activities may result in some WWTP odors – Recently, some residents in the vicinity of the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) (formerly the Clean Water Plant) have complained of odors.  As part of routine maintenance and to help alleviate these complaints, WWTP personnel are undertaking maintenance activities on the autothermal-themophilic-aerobic digester (ATAD).  This maintenance involved emptying both ATAD digester tanks, replacing one of the Jet Motive pumps, removing accumulated grit and debris from both the tanks and then returning the ATAD tanks to normal service. This activity is expected to start on December 22nd, 2014 and be completed by January 19, 2015.  During this time, the odor control system will continue to operate.  If you should notice odors during this ATAD maintenance, please don’t hesitate to contact the plant at 269- 273-5885.  We will do our best to control the offending smells.  Thank you in advance for your patience.
